Fractional Modeling in Engineering (FraME)

Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on fractional calculus and its applications in engineering, organized by INM.

The course 'Fractional Modeling in Engineering‘ (FraME) is organized by the Institute for Nonlinear Mechanics in the framework of the new Erasmus+ program generation 2021 – 2027 as a so-called Blended Intensive Programme (BIP). It consists of a presence phase in Stuttgart, Germany, which lasts from September 12 – 24, 2022, followed by an online phase in which the participants work in teams on a topic related to the contents of this course.

The BIP FraME is coached by well-known researchers working in the field of fractional calculus (see below). It aims and attracting students (master and doctoral level) and staff from different fields of studies such as mathematics, physics, and engineering. FraME is a module at the University of Stuttgart (6 ECTS credits) and can be used as a part of the studies at the participant‘s home universities.

A funding of this course is available by regular Erasmus+ mobility. To this end an ordinary bilateral inter-institutional agreement has to be established between the University of Stuttgart and the participant’s home university which is a rather formal act. This course is also amenable to prospective participants from countries who cannot take part via Erasmus mobility. For further information you are encouraged to contact the organizer (contact: see below).
